Marshall E-Learning have launched a free Unconscious Bias tool to help businesses and their employees to better understand their biases in the workplace.
Four years ago, Marshall E-Learning’s principal consultants Ann Allcock and Vernal Scott recorded a podcast called “Monitoring Sexual Orientation, Religion and Beliefs”. In the podcast, they discussed the issues surrounding the monitoring of the characteristics such as sexual orientation and religion or belief.
Up until A levels, the number of girls and boys taking STEM subjects is equal. This begins to change however, with the gap widening the further along the academic pathway until only around only 13% end up working in STEM. For those that choose an academic pathway, only 43% of science undergraduates are women with only 10% going on to become professors.
So why is this the case?
