The Biggest Fad of L&D
Just because the average Joe has not accepted them, doesn’t mean they have no credibility in corporate learning. In fact, most learning activities in L&D haven’t proven themselves in corporate learning!

Let's get rid of the instructors!

For the sake of argument I’m willing to pretend that xMOOCs are devoid of constructivist empowerment. I acknowledge that many MOOCs do replicate olde worlde instructivism, at least in part.

And here’s where I propose something counter-radical: Sometimes that’s a good thing.

The best TED talks on MOOC – Foradian

And definitely, education and learning is no more the same it used to be in the last few decades, the obvious reason being technology.

MOOCs - An L&D Practitioner's Experience

By ryantracey on from michelleockers.com

MOOCs - An L&D Practitioner
My experience suggests that MOOCs are a valid option that L&D professionals should include in their professional development portfolio; and MOOCs will only be a valid mainstream option for technical capability development when (if?) courses are developed on relevant subjects, and where the organisation supports the learners to apply the content in their workplace and learn from the experience.
