For the sake of argument I’m willing to pretend that xMOOCs are devoid of constructivist empowerment. I acknowledge that many MOOCs do replicate olde worlde instructivism, at least in part.

The transformation from the traditional role of ‘Learning & Development’ to the challenging role of ‘Performance Consulting’ in spite of many obstacles resisting such change!
One of the underlying assumptions here is that people are ready to engage with these kinds of learning strategies if we will just get out of the way. Some people surely are. But many are not, and they need something more from us.
Good advice not just for workplace learning, but classrooms and informal learning.
